After 10 years Suz closed her “Top 100” Gallery, Urban Artifacts in Houston, Texas. She now resides in Colorado and spends most every day in her studio painting.

She is a university trained artist, having studied graphics and painting at The University of Memphis. As a full time artist, she was an award winning ceramists, winning numerous awards in some of the most prestigious shows.

She has returned to her first love, painting. Winning several first place and best in show awards for painting. Suz has also been featured in several National and local publications as well as solo and group shows.

A true colorist, Suz’s paintings are vibrant and rich. Painted in many layers they draw the viewer to look deeply and enjoy the visual feast. Passionately exploring color through vibrating color fields and thin lines.

In addition her work is in several private and corporate collections. She was recently honored that a painting was chosen for the permanent collection, “Women expressing creativity” at the Pioneer museum in Colorado Springs.

She has been involved in all aspects of the art world. A gallery owner, teacher, artist, judge and juror.

Statement:

It is the process not the product that inspires me. I think of my work as a dance between instinct and spontaneity. By letting go of the desired outcome, I open myself to a world where anything is possible.
